- Certificate in Pest Control - Sydney Technical College
- Certificate in Tree Care and Surgery - Forestry Commission of New South Wales
- Certificate in Pest Inspection, Timber - OTEN, TAFE
- Certified Termite specialist - TimberSure
- Termite and Tree Care Course - Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association
- Certified Timber Pest Inspector in accord with Australian Standard 4349.3 "Inspection of Buildings Part 3: Timber Pest Inspections" The University of Newcastle.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training (Category two) - Bremer Institute of TAFE.
- I also keep up to date with many specialist courses on termiticide products, termite baiting etc.

Activities:
- I was involved with vetting the Draft Australian Standard Inspection of Building Part 3: Timber Pest Inspections, on behalf of the Queensland Master Builders Association.
- I have been involved in discussions on Termite Baiting with DPI Forestry.
- Member of Pest Management Industry training Committee.
- My reference material on termites and other pests is obtained from my old teachers in Sydney, and from the U.S.A.
- The Director of Forestry and associated staff are a source of specialist information for our business.
- I was a guest speaker with the Institute of Building Consultants on timber pest detection by building consultants, and was involved with the Institute on other matters.
